Erich & Courtney
Erich is the content creator behind That Mountain Life and has put in thousands of hours to create consistent content. As a dad, Erich has an adventurous spirit and a zest for life. His energy is contagious to both family and social media followers.
Erich grew up paddling and swimming in the lakes of Ontario, which cultivated a passion for outdoor adventure activities. With a Business Diploma in Adventure Tourism and over 15 years of experience as a Professional Ski Patroller and Paramedic, Erich blends professional work with an adventure lifestyle. He is driven by a vision to create content with the goal of inspiring others to pursue adventures of their own.
Courtney is a confident ‘Mountain Mama’ who followers her intuition in parenting, business and life. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, combined with her love of the outdoors, she runs an outdoor school program in Fernie, BC.
Before having kids, Courtney loved skiing, mountain biking, hiking and exploring the mountains. With 3 kids in tow, Courtney still enjoys these activities and loves sharing her passion for adventure with her kids.
Courtney is both a supportive mom and partner and isn’t afraid to live life to her fullest. She loves slowing down the pace of life and wants more days at the beach!

It brings me an incredible amount of joy to spend time outside and watch our kids grow up. I’m excited to witness our kids grow into their own.
August – Age 10
August is the big brother carving the way for his two younger siblings.
August skied 80 days last winter and participates in the Fernie Freestyle Ski Program.
August enjoys mountain biking, whitewater rafting and camping. He also loves Lego and building things with his hands.
He is a competent “free-range” child who owns the big brother role. Followers on social media often comment on how great of a big brother he is!
luca – Age 8
He is athletic and sporty but also enjoys colouring, drawing and making crafts. Luca is currently on the Fernie Alpine Ski Team in the winter and logged 70 days of skiing last winter.
Luca can be a goofball and keeps his parents on their toes. Followers noticed and occasionally comment on Luca’s “style” when it comes to skiing.
Adia – age 5
Adia is the baby girl who is growing up with a “can-do” attitude not to be left behind by her two older brothers.
Videos of Adia skiing while self narrating (mic’d up) became a viral sensation last winter. Her strong-willed attitude and natural abilities have captivated the hearts of millions across the internet.
There is something about her size matched with her ability that amazes followers. Adia is curious, active and very articulate for her age.
