Best Ski Jackets for Kids

Winter can be a session of fun and making memories, especially if your kids are into skiing. However, when searching for your kid’s ski suits, it’s important to find something that is well-made, durable, warm and comfortable. This is because a good coat is one of the most important pieces of gear for keeping your child warm and dry on the slopes. Which is one of the most important factors in ensuring your child has a fun time on the hill.

We’ve carefully searched the market to find you the highest quality ski jackets for kids of all ages, even those little toddlers! and order them starting with toddlers and moving up in size from there.

    SKI SUITS FOR TODDLERS

If you’re looking for the perfect snowsuit for your toddler, I highly suggest investing in a one-piece snowsuit, instead of purchasing an individual jacket and pants. I would opt for this because it eliminates the nightmare of snow up their back, something that has ruined many a day at the hill.

Whenever possible, I strive to reduce potential discomfort before it happens to ensure that everyone has a great time! If I can buy something that will eliminate my child’s discomfort with falling in the snow, I am all for it.

This is why I recommend the Helly Hansen Rider 2.0 to anyone thinking about getting their toddler into skiing.

Helly Hansen Rider 2.0 or the Tinden Insulated Suit

he reason why we are showcasing both of these suits is because the Tinden (which is the jacket Adia was using in this video) currently seems to be sold out but is the warmer jacket. If your child is not going to be spending a lot of time on the slopes the Rider with extra layers should work great.

This one-piece snow suit comes in a range of sizes from a suit that will fit your 1-year-old to a suit that will a teenager but for the purpose of this post I will be recommending it as the perfect jacket for your toddlers.

The Helly Hansen Rider 2.0 is not only made with Primaloft making it as warm as any adult jacket but it’s also made of recycled material and the fabric is waterproof and windproof. Crafted as a single piece, this outfit will keep your toddler snug and comfortable and because they are a toddler they aren’t likely to get too warm.

In fact, we love these suits so much one of our sons is still wearing his. Check out this reel of him ripping the slopes in here in Fernie in his Helly Hansen suit.

    Conclusion

Above are just our top picks for jackets based on either personal experience, pricing, and recommendations from friends. When it comes to picking out jackets for your kids, you have plenty of options. Just make sure that the fill value is over 100 and on frigid days they layer up with extra clothing beneath their jacket. With this combination, your children will be as warm as can be! And if your child is just starting out I would highly recommend that you go with one of the MEC Toasters series jackets or suits. This way if they are standing around listening or just not wanting to ski they are still super warm.

Launching into any winter activity is almost impossible if you’re unprepared for the cold temperatures. Who wants to stand there, freezing and miserable when they could be having fun? Make sure your kids are warmly dressed before venturing outside so that their experience can be enjoyable as possible!
